Introduction All participants in the NKKF 2010 will be able to choose among workshops with excellent conductors. All workshops will end with a presentational concert in Musikhuset Aarhus. You may bring along your children as there will be opportunities for both adults, young people and children. If you participate with the rest of your choir, we shall arrange two or three concerts of your own. You will get ample opportunities to use your voice, but there will also be many good aural experiences: e.g. attending the international choir competition or enjoying world-class evening concerts. Adult singers will select a through morning workshop for either complete choirs, individual participants or female choirs. Every afternoon you may select one out of seven different half-day workshops, or listen to the choir competition. There will be opportunities for young people, individual participants or whole choirs. In addition there will be a group of invited Nordic youth choirs and children’s groups divided according to age. All of these will introduce themselves at concerts. Children and young people may choose to participate in special evening events. In the lunch breaks there will be a multitude of concerts in the city. Choir conductors may participate actively or passively in the master class with Frieder Bernius as mentor and The Danish National Vocal Ensemble/DR and The Vocal Group Concert Clemens as basic ensembles, or they may participate in conductors’ track, a special programme for choir conductors. In connection with the NKKF 2010 will be arranged Aarhus International Choir Competition whose preliminary rounds and final concert the festival participants may attend. Every evening will see social gatherings and Singers’ Corner. Food and overnight stay will be available at a variety of prices.
