Masterclass for conductors with Frieder Bernius

Monday at 18.00 - 22.00, Tuesday - Thursday
at 9.30-18.30. Closing Friday at 14.00

The world-famous German conductor Frieder Bernius will leave his mark on NKKF 2010. First he will give a concert with his own Kammerchor Stutt-gart in connection with the festival, and second he will be leading a masterclass for conductors at an advanced level. The masterclass will take place from Monday till Friday and will see the active participation of about 6 conductors who work with vocal music at a professional level. Furthermore there will be room for 40 passive participants in the masterclass. Basic ensembles in the conductors’ masterclass will be DR VokalEnsemblet and Vocal Group Concert Clemens.

Frieder Bernius operates extensively all over the world as a conductor and a teacher, partly with his own ensembles Kammerchor Stuttgart, Barockorchester Stuttgart, Hofkapelle Stuttgart and Klassische Philharmonie Stuttgart, and partly as a guest with leading choirs and orchestras all over the world. The masterclass will be completed with a public concert on Friday 2nd July at 14.00.
